‘Haikyu!! The Movie: Decisive Battle At The Garbage Dump’ Reveals New Trailer Previewing Theme Song

Jump Fest ’24 event, which took place on Dec 16, 2023, unveiled the second trailer for the upcoming first part of the two-part Haikyu!! FINAL films, titled  Haikyu!! The Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump.

The trailer previews the theme song “Orange,” performed by SPYAIR.

Accompanying the trailer is a new visual.

Moreover, the panel also revealed that the first 2 million fans who watch Haikyu!! The Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump in theaters in Japan will be treated to a special “volume 33.5” book. The book, consisting of 100 pages, will feature a brand-new 16-page manga by the creator Haruichi Furudate, along with character illustrations, the storyboard for chapter 322, and an Q&A session with him.

Haikyu!! The Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump will release in Japan on Feb 16, 2023.

Susumu Mitsunaka will serve as the director as well as the scriptwriter for the anime film.

The film will pick up from where the fourth season left off, which included the match against Inarizaki high, and will focus on the “Spring Tournament 3rd round: Karasuno High vs. Nekoma High” arc of the manga.

It was previously revealed that the film will feature cheers from 10,000 fans, which will be used in the movie for the cheering crowd.

Haikyu!! is created by Haruichi Furudate and was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2012 to July 2020. The series has over 55 million copies in circulation. It has 45 volumes containing 405 chapters.

The first season of the TV anime aired from April 2014 to September 2014. The second season aired from October 2015 to March 2016. The third season aired from October 2016 to December 2016.

The season 4 of the series aired in two cours, the first cour aired in January 2020 whereas the second cour aired from October to December 2020.
