Netflix celebrates the premiere of the live action adaptation of Yu Yu Hakusho with the release of one last trailer

Through a press release, Netflix released a new trailer for the live-action adaptation of the manga Yoshihiro Togashi, Yuyu Hakusho. In the trailer we see that the story will include the fight between humans and demons. The series will have its premiere through the platform and globally next December 14th.

In addition, the platform presented the characters by dedicating a complete video to each one.

The adaptation is directed by Sho Tsukikawa (Let Me Eat Your Pancreas live action) in addition to writing and supervising scripts for Tatsuro Mishima. Ryō Sakaguch (The Lord of the Rings, X-Men) is the special effects supervisor.

What is Yu Yu Hakusho about?

The manga follows 14-year-old criminal Yusuke Urameshi, who dies after saving a child in a car accident. The Spirit World is shocked by his death and offers him the chance to return as a “spirit detective” tasked with defeating demons.

The much-loved Yoshihiro Togashi is the creator of Yu Yu Hakusho and the first publication took place in 1990, the publication ended in 1994 with a total of 14 compilation volumes published.
