During this weekend, the television channel dedicated to the world of gaming, Esports Max, has reached an agreement with the streaming platform Anime Onegai (Remow) to acquire anime content under its distribution. This confirmation was made known thanks to an exclusive note from TAVI LATAM.
“It is a broad agreement, for several titles and for several years, and it allows us to display the content both on Pay TV and on our next OTT service. The first 16 series are already being shown. They are on the linear channel, in a 3-hour daily slot, and in the beta version of our OTT. Later, more titles will be added.”
Words from Osmar Bolívar, director of Esports Max. Some of the series that are part of the agreement with Anime Onegai are:
- Amnesia
- Babe, My Love
- Broken Blade
- SoniAni: Super Sonico The Animation
- Special A
- Tears of Tiara
- The Hentai Prince and The Stony Cat
- Kuroko’s Basketball
- Natsume Book of Friends
- ItaKiss
- Registry of Fantastic Creatures
The e-sports channel’s contract with Anime Onegai is valid for all of Latin America and Brazil. Today, the signal can be seen in Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic, thanks to the distribution agreements it has with Latin American operators; It already has more than 150 agreements, among which the Venezuelan Inter, SimplePlus (OTT from SimpleTV), NetUno and NetUno Go (OTT from NetUno), the DTH TuVes and the OTT Vivo Play stand out.
This content license is part of the growth plan that eSports Max is carrying out. In addition to adding new content, it is finishing the development of its own streaming platform, which will be free, and is working on launching the channel in the Brazilian market. And following this guideline, it is also preparing the launch of a new 100% anime signal and FAST channels for this type of content, in association with Anime Onegai.
It should be noted that this is not the first time that Anime Onegai content has been viewed outside of its streaming platform legally. The cases of the channels Azteca 7 (TV Azteca) from Mexico and Senpai TV from Chile and the Mexican operators Totalplay (in its VOD) and Dish (in its OTT MVS Hub) can be mentioned.
