Black Rock Shooter and Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 hit Crunchyroll

September 30, 2021

The OVA series originally released between 2010 and 2012 announces its arrival on the Crunchyroll platform. Through its official twitter account, Crunchyroll announced the arrival of Black Rock Shooter at its service, taking many by surprise, since this series of OVAs was released a little over 9 years ago.

The franchise has its origin in an illustration made by huke and posted on pixiv in late December 2007, which inspired a supercell theme song using Hatsune Miku. The popularity of the theme and the character was such that in 2010 an OVA was launched and in 2012 a television series inspired by the character.

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 also makes an appearance, a quite emotional anime, originally released in 2009, the anime has 11 episodes where we are told a natural disaster such as an earthquake, as you could deduce 8.0 on the Richter scale, all this is presented to us from the point of view of the brothers Mirai and Yūki Onozawa.

Without a doubt, Crunchyroll hits the spot with these 2 additions to its catalog, bringing classics for the veterans in anime as well as new experiences for people who have been in this field for a short time.
