Let’s have a sequel! The anime adaptation of the light novel series written by daisuke aizawa and illustrated by tozai, Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! (The Eminence in Shadow) have announced that it will have a second season, which will continue with the same production team in the studios nexus.

The news was released through a press release, which was accompanied by a trailer and a promotional image. That said, the release date of this new season is still unknown, however, a previous leak assured that it will premiere in Fall-2023 (October-December) and that its duration will only cover one arc (twelve or thirteen episodes).

It goes without saying that the first season of said adaptation of the series to anime premiered last October 5, 2022this was confirmed with a total of twenty episodeswhile the platform HIDIVE is in charge of its distribution in the West. In addition, it should be noted that the production team of this adaptation has the talent of:

• kazuya nakanishi (Darwin’s Game) who was in charge of directing the first season at the studios nexus (Darwin’s Game, Granbelm).
• Makoto Iino (Suppose a Kid From the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town, Demon Lord, Retry!) who was in charge of character design in the first season.
• Kanichi Katō (Black Clover, Those Snow White Notes) who was in charge of writing and supervising the scripts in the first season.
• Kenichiro Suehiro (Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu, Enen no Shouboutai, Goblin Slayer) who was in charge of the composition of the soundtrack in the first season.

Finally, it should be remembered that Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!known as The Eminence in Shadow in English, is a series of Japanese light novels written by daisuke aizawa and illustrated by tozai. Began serialization online at May 2018 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Naro. It was later acquired by Enterbrainwhich publishes it from November 2018. A manga adaptation with art by Anri Sakano has been serialized in seinen manga magazine Comp Ace of Kadokawa Shoten from December 2018.

It is also worth mentioning that a spin-off manga by Mushroom U titled Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! Shadow Gaiden was also serialized via Comp Ace from July 2019.

Great heroes and diabolical villains are the kind of characters people yearn to be, but this is not the case with Cid Kagenou.
