Crunchyroll App Launched On LG Smart TVs Globally
Crunchyroll has announced that they have partnered with LG Electronics to bring anime directly to LG Smart TV users across the United States and international markets.
Crunchyroll application will be launched on LG Smart TVs on Feb 22, 2024, granting users access to an extensive library comprising over 18,000 hours of content, including 46,000 episodes and films, as well as 3,300 Japanese music videos and concert specials.
One of the highlights of this collaboration is the access to the latest simulcast series shortly after their premiere in Japan, such as Solo Leveling, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES The Divine Visionary Candidate Exam Arc, among others.
Crunchyroll’s catalog will be available in both subtitled and dubbed formats across more than 12 languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Arabic, Italian, Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.
Kaliel Roberts, Chief Product Officer at Crunchyroll, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “Our new partnership with LG makes it even easier to be an anime fan. Anime offers a variety of genres and viewing adventures, and now viewers have even more options to dive deeper.“
Crunchyroll had recently entered a similar partnership with Samsung.
