Anime streaming service Crunchyroll announced on Aug 7, 2024, that it has surpassed 15 million monthly paid subscribers.

This marks a significant milestone for the platform, which has the largest anime library offering over 50,000 episodes and 25,000 hours of anime content.

Rahul Purini, President of Crunchyroll, expressed his enthusiasm about the achievement, stating, “Today marks an exciting milestone not only for Crunchyroll, but for the entire anime industry. It is proof that the rich stories, characters, and experiences that our partners create are resonating deeply with fans at record numbers all over the world. As the number of people excited about anime continues to explode and the breadth of content continues to widen, we believe it has never been a better time to be an anime fan.

Crunchyroll had recently unveiled its new brand identity at the San Diego Comic-Con.

Crunchyroll continues to achieve significant milestones and successes. The platform brings 45 to 60 new and returning series each season. Popular series include Demon Slayer, JUJUTSU KAISEN, One Piece, Chainsaw Man, and Solo Leveling.

Last year, Crunchyroll partnered with Sony Music Entertainment Japan to add 3,300 music videos and concerts to the service.

Additionally, Crunchyroll partnered with Amazon Prime to launch a channel in various countries, including the United States, Canada, and India.
