Date A Live Confirms April Release for Season 5! | Anime News
Popular anime Date A Live will officially be back with Season 5 this April!
A trailer and key visual were released along with the big news. The trailer also features the newly revealed opening and ending theme songs, “Paradoxes” by Miyu Tomita and “Hitohira” by sweet ARMS respectively.
Fans can also look forward to a new character named Mio Takamiya, pictured below in a recently released visual. She is voiced by Aya Endo.
Based on the light novel series written by Koshi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako, Date A Live follows high school boy Shido Itsuka, who proves unexpectedly irresistible to extraterrestrial spirits set on causing chaos on Earth.
It was first adapted into a TV anime in 2013, with the second and third season airing in 2014 and 2019 respectively. The fourth season aired from April to June 2022. The franchise also received an anime film in 2015.
Date A Live Season 5 will air in Japan from April 2024.
