Following the conclusion of 1st cour of Dr. Stone season 3, titled Dr. STONE NEW WORLD, its official Twitter account revealed on June 15, 2023, that the 2nd cour of the anime will start airing on October 2023.
Dr. STONE NEW WORLD cour 1 ended with episode 11 on June 15.
Moreover, TOHO animation dropped the full version of the opening theme song of season 3 of the anime, “Wasuregataki,” performed by Huwie Ishizaki on their official YouTube account. Check it out below:
Dr. STONE NEW WORLD cour 1 aired on April 6, 2023.
Dr. Stone season 1, produced by TMS Entertainment, aired on Tokyo MX from July to December 2019. The second focused on the “Stone Wars” arc aired from January to March 2021.
A television special titled Dr. Stone: Ryusui premiered in July 2022.
Dr. STONE, written by Riichiro Inagaki, and illustrated by South Korean artist Boichi, started serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2017. The manga ended on March 7, 2022 in the 14th issue of the magazine.
The story follows teenage scientific genius Senku Ishigami, who plans to rebuild civilization after humanity was mysteriously petrified for 3,700 years.
As of April 2021, the Dr. Stone manga had over 10 million copies in circulation. In 2019, Dr. Stone won the 64th Shogakukan Manga Award for the shonen category.
