First trailer for sequel Given The Movie: To the Sea released
The anime franchise team Given has presented this Monday the first trailer of Given: Umi and (Given The Movie: To the Sea), the final film in the two-part sequel project. The video announces that this second installment will be released on September 20 and will be the conclusion of the overall story.
The trailer also showcases Ritsuka’s voice and the theme song “Ketsugen” by the group centimillimental. On the other hand, a new poster was also revealed:
It is worth remembering that Eiga given: Hiiragi mix, the first film of this two-part project, premiered in Japan on January 27. Centimillimental performed the film’s theme song “Super Ultra I Love You.”
What is Given about?
Natsuki Kizu launched the manga in the magazine Cheri+ of Shinshokan in 2014, concluding its run on March 30, 2024. A television anime adaptation premiered in July 2019, marking the milestone of being the “First anime based on a boy-love manga” which airs on Fuji TV’s Noitamina.
Synopsis: Somehow, the guitar he loved to play and the basketball games he enjoyed so much lost their appeal… That was until Ritsuka Uenoyama randomly met Mafuyu Sato. Ritsuka had begun to lose his passion for music in his everyday life, but then he hears Mafuyu sing for the first time. Currently, the entire franchise (anime, OVA, first film and live-action) can be enjoyed exclusively on Crunchyroll in Japanese with subtitles, while the only season of the anime also includes dubbing in Latin Spanish.
