Grand Blue Season 2 Is Reportedly In Production & Fans Are Beyond Excited

Fans of Grand Blue may finally have reason to rejoice, as rumors of a second season being in production have surfaced online.

While no official announcement has been made as of yet, the rumor stems from a source known for its reliability in the past, igniting hope among fans worldwide. If confirmed, the new season would arrive over six years after the first one aired, and four years after the live-action film adaptation.

Moreover, the staff from the previous season is also likely to return.

The prospect of a second season has ignited excitement among the fans, many of whom have taken to social media to express their elation.

Grand Blue Dreaming, also known as Grand Blue, is a Japanese manga series written by Kenji Inoue and illustrated by Kimitake Yoshioka. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s seinen manga magazine Good! Afternoon since April 2014.

The first volume was released on Nov 7, 2014. As of April 2024, twenty-two volumes have been released.

The manga is published digitally in English by Kodansha USA under the Kodansha Comics imprint.

The first season of Grand blue aired from July 14 to Sep 29, 2018. It was written and directed by Shinji Takamatsu, with Takamatsu also handling the sound direction, Zero-G produced the animation and Hideoki Kusama designed the characters.

The series ran for 12 episodes.

A live-action film was released on Aug 7, 2020. It was directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa.
