Through a press release, the first film in the Haikyuu franchise, titled Haikyuu!! THE MOVIE: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump (Haikyu the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Dumpster) revealed a new trailer, promotional image and also confirmed its release date and the name of its director.
The feature film will have its premiere on February 16, 2024 and will feature the direction and script writing of Susumu Mitsunakawho also directed the previous seasons of the anime.
Let us remember that exactly a year ago the franchise announced that it would end the animated adaptation with a film project that will have 2 films, the first of which would adapt The decisive battle at the garbage dumpwhich presents us with the meeting between Karasuno High and Nekoma High.
At the moment, we do not have information about its arrival in Latin America, we hope to have more details soon.
Haikyuu is a manga written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate that was first published in 2011 and ended in 2020 with a total of 45 compiled volumes published.
Production IG was the studio in charge of the animated adaptation, which has 110 episodes distributed over 4 seasons, the first premiered in April 2014, the second in October 2015 and the third in October 2016.
The fourth was titled Haikyuu To The Top and was divided into two parts, the first began to be broadcast in January 2020 and the second was involved in problems due to COVID-19, so it was only broadcast in October of that same year.
All of these seasons are available on Crunchyroll and with their Latin dubbing, which was made in Mexico under the direction of Sergio Morel. From Funianime we want to express our wish that the same cast and director be maintained for this next film in case we have it localized, since it seems to us that they did a job worthy of the best dubbing.

Haikyuu Synopsis
Shouyou Hinata started playing volleyball after watching the “little giants” who played the sport when she was in elementary school.
He suffers a crushing defeat in his first and last high school tournament at the hands of his rival Tobio Kageyama. Hinata then joins the Karasuno High School volleyball team, vowing revenge against Kageyama.
However, Kageyama is also on Karasuno’s team. The former rivals form a legendary combo with Hinata’s mobility and Kageyama’s precise ball handling. Together, they take on local tournaments and agree to face Karasuno’s rival school at the nationals.
