The official Twitter account of Netflix’s One Piece live-action revealed a special video on Aug 11, 2023, showcasing a brief tour of Shuisha’s Editorial Department featuring Luffy’s live-action actor, Iñaki Godoy.
Iñaki provides fans with a sneak peak into the birth place of One Piece, and was greeted by the staff with utmost enthusiasm. He also got the opportunity to meet Editor-in-Chief Hiroyuki Nakano, who exclaimed, “You are the real Luffy!”, leaving Iñaki speechless.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of the original artwork from One Piece’s very first episode by Eiichiro Oda, “a piece of history that dates back to 1997”.
He concluded the video tour by taking a moment to thank everyone for their hard work over the years, and that he would do his best to make everyone proud.
