Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie has earned ₹4.30 crores at the Indian Box Office in its first four days, including ₹2.1 crores over the weekend, after its release.
The movie released in India on June 30, 2022, earning ₹1.50 crores on the first day.
The collection for the four days, as reported by film journalist Himesh Mankad, is given below:
- Thursday: ₹1.50 crores
- Friday: ₹70 lakhs
- Saturday: ₹90 lakhs
- Sunday: ₹1.20 crores
Owing to the positive response, PVR had added more cities and areas where they will be screening Jujutsu Kaisen 0.
The movie has made around USD $180 million (24.25 Billion Yen), globally, before its release in India.
It was released in over 8000 theatres, selling over 9.9 million tickets. Although, 9.8 million tickets were sold in Japan alone.
The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie is the 4th highest earning anime movie in North America, and 8th highest earning anime movie ever, globally.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is based on Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, the prequel manga to the main series. It is written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. The manga was serialized in Shueisha’s Jump GIGA magazine from April to July 2017.
After Akutami launched Jujutsu Kaisen in 2018, the series was retroactively retitled Jujutsu Kaisen 0—making it a prequel—and released in a single tankōbon volume in December 2018.
