Kaiju No. 8 confirmed new details of its second season
The official website from the anime based on the manga Kaiju No. 8 Naoya Matsumoto revealed on Monday that the anime’s second season will premiere in 2025. The site also revealed that a new original episode “Hoshina’s Day Off“, centered as the name suggests on Captain Hoshina. See the announcement:

The original episode will be shown alongside a film compiling the first season, with both screening in theaters in Japan in 2025. It was finally confirmed that Koki Uchiyama will join the cast as Gen Harumi in the second season.
About Kaiju No. 8
The first season premiered on TV Tokyo on April 13 and aired 12 episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with Spanish subtitles, as well as a Latin Spanish dub.
Shigeyuki Miya (Onihei) and Tomomi Kamiya directed the anime. Ichiro Okouchi (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion) was in charge of the series composition and script. Tetsuya Nishio (Naruto) was the character designer and chief animation director. Mahiro Maeda (Shin Godzilla) designed the monsters. Shinji Kimura (Tekkonkinkreet) is the artistic director. Yuta Bandou (BELLE) composed the music.
Production IG (Ghost in the Shell) handled animation production, and Studio Khara (Rebuild of Evangelion), from the kaiju designs and illustrations.
