Kaiju No 8 will continue with a second season
After the exciting season finale of Kaiju No. 8 broadcast this Saturday, June 29, the production of a sequel to the successful anime series produced by Production IGTo celebrate the announcement, a short video has been released confirming the production.
Crunchyroll will broadcast the return of Kaiju No. 8 in more than 200 countries and territories around the world, with an air date to be announced later.
Official synopsis of Kaiju No. 8: In a world overrun by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspires to join the Defense Forces. He makes a promise to join with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Soon, life takes them on separate paths. While working as a cleanup worker after Kaiju battles, Kafka meets Reno Ichikawa. Reno’s determination to join the Defense Forces rekindles Kafka’s promise to join Mina and protect humanity.
About Kaiju No. 8
The anime is an adaptation of the original manga created by Naoya Matsumoto. The animation of Kaiju No. 8 is in charge of Production IG. (PSYCHO-PASS, GHOST IN THE SHELL) and the supervision of the design and illustrations of the kaiju is the work of Studio Khara (Evangelion: New theatrical release, Shin Godzilla in preview development).
The series is directed by Shigeyuki Miya (director and character designer of Onihei, director of The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior) and Tomomi Kamiya (Yotsuiro Biyori). The series composition and script were written by Ichiro Okouchi (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercurydraft of the story and composition of the series in Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion).
Additional staff includes lead animation direction and character design for Tetsuya Nishio (Naruto, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG), the Kaiju design of Mahiro Maeda (concept art and designer in Mad Max: Fury RoadGodzilla image design in Shin Godzilla), artistic direction of Shinji Kimura (Tekkonkinkreet, Blood Blockade Battlefront). The opening Abyss Is interpreted by YUNGBLUD and the ending Nobody by OneRepublic.
All available episodes of Kaiju No. 8 can be seen in Crunchyroll. The Spanish dubbing of the season finale of Kaiju No. 8. will be available on Saturday, July 13, only for Crunchyroll.
