The recent and final episode of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 cour 1 was an emotional one for all the fans. The episode showcased Geto’s spiral into evil, which lead to a strain in his friendship with Gojo.
The emotional scene where the two friends parted ways were hard on all the fans despite having known this outcome from the very start, and surprisingly this included KFC too.
Interestingly, the farewell between Geto and Gojo occurred against the backdrop of a KFC restaurant in the anime, a detail many seemed to have missed.
In an interesting take, KFC on their official X account (fka Twitter) acknowledged the emotional moment from the episode in a first person pov, making it seem like that they had front row seats when the scene occurred.
“Watching SatoSugu breakup was even harder from behind the register 😭,” they tweeted.

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 started airing on July 6, 2023, and will run for two consecutive cours.
The second cour of the season will release on Aug 31, 2023.
Tatsuya Kitani will perform the opening theme song “Ao no Sumika”, while Soushi Sakiyama will perform the ending theme song “Akari”.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. It is currently being serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since March 2018. The Jujutsu Kaisen chapters are collected and published by Shueisha, with 23 tankobon volumes released as of July 2023.
