Through its official twitter account, Netflix released a new promotional image in which they confirmed the development of a third season for the anime adaptation of the manga. kimi ni todoke (From Me To You). It will be released in 2024.

The production will be carried out by the studios. Production I.G.who were also in charge of producing the previous two seasons.

kimi ni todoke It’s a manga written by Karuho Shiina and the first publication was given in 2006 through the Bessatsu Margaret of Shueisha. The work ended in 2017 and has a total of 125 chapters in 30 compiled volumes. In 2008, it won the annual Kodansha Manga Award for Best Shoujo Manga.

In addition to having the animated adaptation, it also has a live action that premiered in 2010.

Synopsis of Kimi ni Todoke

Sawako Kuronuma is a 15-year-old student who is often mistaken for the hideous and vengeful spirit Sadako Yamamura of The Ring. The uncanny resemblance causes Sawako to be called “Sadako”.
