Kimi Ni Todoke Season 3 Reveals Release Date, New Trailer & Opening Theme Song
The official website of Kimi Ni Todoke announced on July 9, 2024, that the third season of the anime will release exclusively on Netflix from Aug 1, 2024.
The website also unveiled the second trailer for Kimi Ni Todoke season 3 previewing the new opening theme song “Et cetera,” performed by imase.
Cast members include:
- Miyuki Sawashiro as Ayane Yano
- Yūko Sanpei as Chizuru Yoshida
- Yūichi Nakamura as Ryū Sanada
- Mamoru Miyano as Kento Miura
- Yuki Ono as Kazuichi Arai (Pin)
- Aya Hirano as Ume Kurumizawa
Mamiko Noto, who voices Sawako Kuronuma, and Daisuke Namikawa, the voice behind Shota Kazehaya, reprised their lead roles in Kimi ni Todoke season 3.The animation will be handled once again by Production I.G.
Kenichi Matsuzawa will serve as the director, with Tomoko Konparu in charge of scripts along with Michiko Yokote. The music will once again be composed by S.E.N.S. Project, known for their work on series such as xxxHOLiC and My Love Story!!.
Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Karuho Shiina. It was published by Shueisha in Bessatsu Margaret from 2005 to 2017 and collected in 30 tankobon volumes. It won the Best Shojo Manga award in the 32nd Annual Kodansha Manga Award In 2008. The series was also nominated for the first Manga Taisho awards in 2008.
An anime adaptation of Kimi ni Todoke, produced by Production I.G, aired from October 2009. The second season of the anime began airing in Japan on Jan 4, 2011.
A live action film adaptation was released in 2010 starring Mikako Tabe and Haruma Miura.
