The Quintessential Quintuplets It was one of the most beloved anime in recent times, after two seasons of the 12-episode anime, we can enjoy the conclusion of this romantic comedy in theaters thanks to Crunchyroll. At Funianime we saw the movie in advance and here we leave our opinion without spoilers.
If you don’t know the anime, the protagonist of our story is futaro uesugi, a very diligent student whose family is going through a hard time and accumulating debt. He gets a golden opportunity to make extra money as a private teacher of the Nakano sisters, some quintuplets who have zero interest in studying and who at first can’t even see him in a figurine, but Futaro manages to win them over little by little. This movie covers the end of the play and answers the big question who ends up marrying Futaro?

From the first moment the film introduces us to a very emotional setting, spectacular animation and music that can bring tears to any music lover. Everything is served to us on a silver platter so that we can shed a tear in the two and a quarter hours that the film lasts.
The film knows how to take us very well on the adventure, which really keeps us glued to our gaze from the first minute. Each of the five has its moment of prominence that has a very well-carried character development, we managed to empathize with all the sisters and it really makes us want them all to have their happy ending.
At times it may seem like a romantic comedy with a lot of charm and a soft and emotional tone that can be too cloying, but, and I think this is the reason for its success, it has moments when it becomes a very mature film; especially when we look back and learn about the childhood of Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba and Itsuki during the story and how this led them to forge a very different attitude from each one. The tape touches a lot on the theme of the mother and father of the sisters who, thanks to the music and the performance of the sisters, will ‘squash’ your heart.

About the Latin dubbing
In this section I only have good words, all the people involved in the localization process did a more than spectacular job, the quality they had had already been shown to us in the series, and in the film they once again showed the affection they have for it to the project. The best thing is that they take certain liberties in the dialogues of the characters, we even have one of the quintuplets who dared to sing! And the truth is that she seems to me the best actress in the film. In short, the film can be enjoyed quietly in our language because it is a very good dubbing.
In the negative points that the tape has is the fact that we can feel it long, taking out the credits, the tape lasts two hours and fifteen minutes and it can really make us yawn.
‘The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie’ tries to play clueless with the identity of Futaro’s future wife and really So much mystery works a bit against him because when you finally discover who he is, it can be a bit disappointing because by maintaining so much intrigue the importance of this relationship is somewhat reduced.
Maybe ‘The Quintessential Quintuplets Movie’ doesn’t give us the fairy tale ending we wanted for our favorite couple, but he does ensure that all our protagonists have a bright and happy future ahead of them with a more than emotional conclusion that sure, sure, one or another tear escapes us.
In case you don’t know the anime, you have to know that the film serves as a closing and farewell dedicated to the fans of the story, and it does not have much to contribute if you start from scratch because it serves as a natural continuation to the anime and does not dedicate too much time to catch up with who’s who in case someone was going to hook up from scratch.
Finally, I want to congratulate the actresses who gave life to the quintuplets for such an incredible job, they all captured their emotions in the best way and, particularly my favorite, Stephanie Watermark He shone in his scenes. Also honorable mention for Manuel Campuzano who knew how to perfectly capture the emotions of ‘El Frutas’ both as an adult and as a simple tutor. I also thank Crunchyroll for letting us enjoy the film in advance and I proceed to invite you to enjoy it tomorrow in theaters in Mexico, Chili and PeruSoon we will also have news about its arrival in other Latin American countries.
