‘Makima X Kishibe’ Is Official As Their Stage Play Actors Tie The Knot
Voice actress Aya Hirano, aged 36, and actor Masashi Taniguchi, aged 46, have officially announced their marriage on Jan 3, 2023.
The couple had recently co-starred in the stage play adaptation of Chainsaw Man, portraying the characters of Makima and Kishibe respectively, leaving fans pleasantly surprised by their real-life union.
The news of their marriage was revealed through their official Twitter accounts, where they shared statements expressing their joy and gratitude.
“At this time, Masashi Taniguchi and Aya Hirano have married,” the joint announcement read. “We will continue to express our gratitude and strive to improve as artists even more. We sincerely ask for your continued guidance and support.”
Despite the joyous occasion, the couple also went on to acknowledge the tragic events that have unfolded since the beginning of the year, expressing their heartfelt condolences to those affected. They pledged to contribute in any way possible.
“Since the beginning of the year, we have experienced some heart-wrenching events. Along with offering heartfelt condolences to everyone, we will do our best to contribute in any way we can, albeit in a small capacity.
I sincerely pray for the good health and happiness of each and every one of you.“
Hirano is a Japanese voice actress known for roles such as Haruhi Suzumiya in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Misa Amane in Death Note, Lucy Heartfilia in Fairy Tail, among others.
Masashi Taniguchi made his debut as Nagare Tatsumi in GoGoFive. He also acted in various other works such as Kamen Rider Amazon Alpha in Kamen Rider, Ultraman Decker in Ultraman Decker, and others.
