The official Twitter account of Manga Plus announced on Oct 4, 2023, that they have lauched a new subscription service called ‘Manga Plus Max‘.
The editorial team at Weekly Shonen Jump+ said that they aim to create an environment where overseas readers can easily discover new manga series. They also hoped that by expanding the readership of serialized manga worldwide, they could increase the likelihood of creating global hit series within the Jump Group.
The new service will include two subscription plans, namely standard plan and deluxe plan.
The standard plan will allow readers to catchup on all the currently serializing works. There are a total of 80 ongoing series, totalling over 6,000 chapters. However, once the work is completed, readers will not be able to read it after a certain period of time.
The plan is priced at $1.99/month in U.S. and ₹95.00/month in India.
The deluxe plan will feature all the chapters of currently serializing titles as well as completed titles for reading. It is priced at $4.99/month, and ₹390.00/month in India.
