My Happy Marriage got its first trailer and new details for its second season
Netflix unveiled on Monday the first trailer for My Happy Marriage (Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon), anime based on the romance and fantasy novel by Akumi Agitogi and Tsukiho Tsukiokawhere it was announced that the season premiere will take place in January 2025.
The trailer also announced some new cast members, including:
- Ryōtarō Okiayu as Tadakiyo Kudo, the former head of the Kudo family, Kiyoka's father. He has a kind personality and is looking forward to Miyo and Kiyoka getting married.
- Kikuko Inoue as Fuyu Kudo, Kiyoka's mother. A lady with cold eyes and haughty manners who makes those around her tremble.
- Yuya Uchida such as Naoshi Usui, the founder of the “Communion of the Gifted”, a sect that plans to overthrow society. He goes after Miyo, but what kind of person is he?
Masayuki Kojimapreviously a storyboarder and episode director for the first season, joins returning director, Takehiro Kubotato direct the second season in Kinema Citrus. Ami Satō now has sole credit for supervising the series' scripts (a credit he shared with Momoka Toyoda and Takahito Onishi for the first season), and also co-writes the scripts with Misato Hashiba, Fūka Ishiiand Momoka Toyoda.
Shōko Yasuda redesigns the characters, while Kuniyuki Ito is the subcharacter designer. Tsunetaka Ema returns as composition cinematographer. Emi Katanosaka returns as art director, while Osamu Masuyama returns as art advisor. Other returning staff are Anna Okamatsu as a color key artist, Yuushi Koshida as 3D CG director, and Evan Call as composer.
About My Happy Marriage

Agitogi and Tsukioka launched the novel series in January 2019. The manga adaptation of Rito Kohsaka debuted on Square Enix's Gangan Online website in December 2018.
The anime premiered in July 2023, being broadcast globally through Netflix. The first season of the anime had 12 episodes, and they are available on the platform with subtitles
