The official Twitter account of the upcoming My Home Hero live-action TV drama has revealed that they have roped in the Japanese rock band ‘The Oral Cigarettes’ to perform theme song.
The theme song is called “YELLOW”.
Comment by ‘The Oral Cigarettes’ regarding the theme song was also revealed to commemorate the announcement:
“I feel extremely honored to have been entrusted with the theme song for a work that I have loved for a long time. While on the surface, the work expresses hatred and sorrow, I realized that beneath it all, there are feelings of love for someone, and that becomes the central theme. Yellow has a bright and gentle image like the sun, but on the other hand, it also has the aspect of being a color of danger signals. I thought it was the perfect color to express excessive love, so I wrote the song “YELLOW.” I would be delighted if you could enjoy the song along with the work itself.“

My Home Hero live-action TV drama is set to release on Oct 24, 2023, and will be broadcast on the MBS and TBS Dramaism slot.

My Home Hero, written by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Masashi Asaki, began in Kodansha’s seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Magazine on May 29, 2017. In February 2021, it was announced that the series would reach its climax.
Kodansha has collected its chapters into individual tankobon volumes. The first volume was released on Sep 6, 2017. As of June 2023, 21 volumes have been released.

Tetsuo Tosu, an ordinary salaryman, discovers his daughter, Reika, has been physically abused by her boyfriend, Nobuto Matori. Trying to learn more about him, Tetsuo uncovers Matori’s scheme to extort money from Reika’s wealthy grandparents and finds out that he is a member of a crime syndicate, with a history of murdering his former girlfriends.
Filled with rage and fear at the thought of Reika being in danger, Tetsuo ends up killing Nobuto, and with the help of his wife, Kasen, successfully disposes of the body. Now, as the members of the syndicate begin to question Nobuto’s sudden disappearance, Tetsuo and Kasen must work together to ensure the safety of their daughter and prevent her from getting involved in the predicament any further.
