Naruto Author Masashi Kishimoto Highly Praises Kagurabachi Manga

Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto, has expressed his admiration for Takeru Hokazono’s Kagurabachi manga. This was highlighted on the obi of the manga’s third volume, set to be released on July 4, 2024.

In his statement, Kishimoto lauded the exceptional quality of Kagurabachi, particularly its art style which is filled with emotions. According to him, it was something that manga fans will love.

It makes you turn the pages, it captivates you, the art is filled with power and emotion. This talent, this style, is the kind manga lovers will adore.”

Kishimoto’s commendation is particularly significant given Hokazono’s admiration for Naruto. During a previous interview, Hokazono revealed himself to be a fan of Naruto. This is evident in his previous one-shots, which have drawn numerous comparisons to Kishimoto’s work.

So receiving such a praise from from Kishimoto himself would mark a significant high in Hokazono’s career.

Moreover, it was also revealed that Kagurabachi manga will surpass 350,000 copies in circulation with the release of its 3rd volume.

The first two volumes of the manga were popular in Japan. Both these volumes had featured recommendations, with the first volume being recommended by My Hero Academia author Kohei Horikoshi and the second volume including a recommendation by Japanese singer Vaundy.

Viz will be releasing the volumes of the manga in English, with the first volume set to come out in Fall 2024.

Kagurabachi is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Takeru Hokazono. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since September 2023. The first tankobon volume was released on Feb 2, 2024.

Viz Media and Shueisha’s Manga Plus platform are publishing the series in English.

It has also garnered significant international attention. The English version of Chapter 1 achieved the top spot in global views on MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA just one week after its debut.
