Today was Nintendo Direct day, and, in my opinion, the best in a long time. Today the HD-2D remake for the legendary games was confirmed Dragon Quest II and II for Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. These will go on sale in 2025.

In addition, they released a trailer for the HD-2D remake of the video game Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation which will go on sale next November 14 for Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam.

The “HD-2D” art style evokes sprite-based art, but with 3D backgrounds and dynamic lighting and effects, similar in style to Square Enix’s previous Octopath Traveler game.

Dragon Quest I and II mark the beginning of the Erdrick trilogy, the hero we control in Dragon Quest III and who is later mentioned several times throughout the other two installments. This is how it is implied that the first game in chronological order is number III followed by I and then II.

Dragon Quest the Adventure of Dai

The franchise has its anime adaptation, Dragon Quest: the Adventure of Dai, which is available on Crunchyroll, MAX, and Anime Onegai. On the pink platform they find it with its Latin dubbing, which was made in Mexico under the direction of David Allende.

voice cast

  • Claudia Motta as Dai.
  • Hector Mena as Popp.
  • Blue Valadez as naam.
  • Jessica Angeles as Lioness.
  • David Allende as Hyunckel.
  • Ricardo Brust as Crocodine.
