One Piece Anime Gets New Ending Theme Song After 17 Long Years

After a period of seventeen long years, One Piece anime has debuted a new ending theme song with the release of the much-awaited episode 1071, which featured Luffy’s Gear 5, on Aug 6, 2023.

Chilli Beans performed the brand new ending theme song, titled “Raise”.

The official Twitter account of One Piece revealed the creditless version of the theme song. Check it out below:

The last episode of One Piece that featured an ending theme song was episode 278, titled “Say You Want to Live! We Are Your Friends!”.

Moreover, the release of Luffy’s Gear 5 episode caused a massive surge in the traffic on anime streaming sites globally, resulting in server crashes even before the episode aired.

One Piece is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation that premiered on Fuji TV in October 1999. It is based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga series of the same name.

Since its premiere in Japan, over 1000 episodes have been aired, and later exported to various countries around the world.

One Piece is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump since July 1997, with its individual chapters compiled into 106 tankobon volumes as of July 2023.
