Oshi No Ko Live-Action Film & Drama Reveals Release Date, Teaser Trailer & More Details
The live-action drama adaptation of Oshi no Ko, comprising of 8 episodes, will be released worldwide exclusively on Prime Video on Nov 28, 2024.
This will be followed by a live-action film, which is a sequel to the drama, releasing in theatres on Dec 20, 2024.
A teaser trailer, visual, and staff details have been revealed along with the announcement.
The film will be directed by Smith, known for his work on music videos for Ikimono Gakari, Ketsumeishi, Snow Man, and dramas such as Inside Mari and I Want to Hold Aono-kun so Badly I Could Die, along with Hana Matsumoto.
Ayako Kitagawa will serve as the scriptwriter.

- Asuka Saito as Ai Hoshino
- Kaito Sakurai as Aqua
- Nanoka Hara as Kana Arima
- Mizuki Kayashima as Akane Kurokawa
- ano as Memcho
Oshi no Ko is a Japanese manga series written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump since April 2020, with its chapters collected in fourteen tankobon volumes as of April 2024.
An anime television series adaptation, produced by Doga Kobo, a studio which was started by former Toei animation members, aired its first 11-episode season from April to June 2023. A second season is set to premiere in July 2024.
