Solo Leveling Season 2’s New Trailer Reveals Opening Theme Song By LiSA & Stray Kids’ Felix

The official website of Solo Leveling anime unveiled a new trailer previewing the opening theme song for its second season on Nov 28, 2024.

The trailer revealed that LiSA and Felix from South Korean boy band Stray Kids will be performing the opening theme song, titled “ReawakeR”.

LiSA shared her thoughts on the song, stating:

“I am honored to perform the opening theme for the TV anime Solo Leveling Season 2 – Arise from the Shadow. The song embodies a determination to carve out one’s destiny, granted to those reborn. Collaborating with Sawano Hiroyuki on the music and featuring Felix from Stray Kids, I hope this track resonates with the story and energizes everyone who listens.”

Felix expressed his excitement, saying:

“This is Felix from Stray Kids. I’m deeply honored to collaborate with senior artist LiSA on this track. ‘ReawakeR (feat. Felix of Stray Kids)’ is an energetic piece that will fill listeners with dopamine. I’m thrilled to be part of the anime Solo Leveling and hope fans will love the theme song as much as we do. Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow-, will start airing in January 2025.

A compilation film, titled Solo Leveling: ReAwakening, will hit the theatres in Japan on Nov 29. The film will recap key events from the anime’s first season, and also offer fans a sneak peek at the upcoming second season, featuring its first two episodes.

Solo Leveling season 1 produced by A-1 Pictures aired from January to March 2024. A second season is set to premiere in January 2025.

Crunchyroll streamed the first season in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and India. 

Medialink licensed the series in Southeast Asia and Oceania (except Australia and New Zealand).

Solo Leveling is a South Korean web novel written by Chugong. It was serialized in Kakao’s digital comic and fiction platform KakaoPage beginning on July 25, 2016, and was later published by D&C Media under their Papyrus label since November 4, 2016. The novel has been licensed in English by Yen Press.

A webtoon adaptation of Solo Leveling was first serialized in KakaoPage on March 4, 2018; it was illustrated by Jang Sung-rak (Dubu). The webtoon’s first season concluded on March 19, 2020, and its second season was released from August 2020 to December 2021. Its individual chapters have been collected and published by D&C Media in eleven volumes as of June 2024.

A Korean drama adaptation is in development, and spin-off webtoon Solo Leveling: Ragnarok premiered in August 2024.
