The battles of “Wind Breaker” will continue with the confirmation of a 2nd season




The anime team Wind Breakerbased on Satoru Nii’s street fighting manga, announced Thursday that the anime will get a second season in 2025, which probably shouldn’t come as a surprise considering the manga’s already notable success. Aniplex issued an announcement video:

The announcement came after the 13th and final episode of the first season aired on Crunchyroll. The platform has already revealed that it will air the second season in more than 200 countries and territories around the world.

What is Wind Breaker about?

Toshifumi Akai (Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia) directed the anime in CloverWorks. Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen) was in charge of the composition of the series. Taishi Kawakami (Akebi’s Sailor Uniform) designed the characters. Ryō Takahashi (Arifureta – From Commonplace to World’s Strongest) composed the music. The synopsis is as follows:

Synopsis: An adrenaline-filled manga set in a high school for delinquents who are now heroes protecting their city. A fierce new student arrives at the school determined to fight his way to the top and become the strongest of them all. Fans of Tokyo Revengers and other stories about high school delinquents will enjoy this action-packed manga. Haruka Sakura wants nothing to do with weaklings – she’s only interested in the strongest of the strong.

Nii launched the manga on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app in Japanese in January 2021, and the manga has now reached its 19th compiled volume on May 9. In Mexico, the manga is published by Panini.
