The Boy and the Heron, Through the Spider-Verse, among others nominated for the Oscar for best animated film

This Tuesday the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the famous awards, known internationally as the Oscars. As for animated films, we have the successful Spider-Man through the Spider-Verse, as well as the heartwarming The Boy and the Heron and the touching and funny Nimona.

These are the titles nominated in the Best Animated Film categories:

Although it is no secret to anyone that the big favorites to win the Academy Award are the films of The Heron Boy and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. In the case of Studio Ghibli’s latest film, it has just won the Golden Globe Award as well as the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Animated Film, while the acclaimed sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse recently won the Critic Choice for the same category. Therefore, all the bets on the part of the cinephile public are directed towards these 2 animated feature films.

The prizes for the winners of this edition will be awarded on March 10. TNT and HBO Max will be in charge of broadcasting for the entire region.
