Kaguya-sama’s film: Love Is War -The First Kiss That Never Ends- has given rise to talk this weekend after being announced as the new release in theaters from the distributor Konnichiwa Festival. Since after its announcement there has been a lot of talk about what would happen with the dubbing that would be screened for this title in movie theaters, specifically if it would take into account the voice cast of the Latin dubbing of its anime series. Finally today we got a direct response and this anticipated film will have yes or yes with the renowned cast made up of:
- Jessica Angeles What Kaguya Shinomiya
- Enzo Fortuny What Miyuki Shirogane
- elizabeth infante What Chika Fujiwara
- Alejandro Orozco What Yu Ishigami
- Leyla Rangel What Ai Hayasaka
- Desiree Gonzalez What Miko Ino
- erika langarica What Tsubame Koyasu
- Diego Becerril What Tsubasa Tanuma
- marisol hamed What Moeha Fujiwara
But how did this news become a novel? At first, the bad news did not wait and apparently the aforementioned cast of voices would not be available.. This was revealed on January 21, 22 and 23 thanks to various publications by some of the cast on their social networks. Among those who spoke out were Alejandro Orozco, Diego Becerril, Marisol Hamed and the most specific case of Jessica Ángeles, an actress who gives voice to the protagonist of the anime. Arguing in defense of them and against the client, such as the fact that the studio selected to record the dubbing refused to pay them the fair amount of money according to the tab that they demanded, that some members of the Konnichiwa Festival team had their differences with the current way of making anime dubbing, among other arguments. In response to this, Konnichiwa published a statement yesterday on its different social networks about this controversy. Implying that they never ordered a re-cast of the established voice cast, and that said decision was directly caused by the dubbing studio they selected for the film, due to the reason we mentioned above.
However, to the surprise of many, today, the same voice actress Jessica Ángeles published a video on her Instagram account, which summarizes that a new dubbing studio was selected by the Konnichiwa Festival to have this time with the her participation as well as that of her other colleagues, resuming their respective characters officially. The studio and director of dialogues for the dubbing of the film Kaguya-sama: Love Is War -The First Kiss That Never Ends- will be announced soon.
