The idol project Hana Doll* will receive an anime adaptation in 2025

The official account X (formerly Twitter) of the franchise Hana Doll*owned by MOVIC, revealed this Saturday that the project will receive an adaptation as an anime series, which will be titled Hana-Doll*: Reinterpretation of Floweringand has revealed its main images.

Masahiro Takata (Libra of Nil Admirari) directs the anime in A-Real. Risa Arai (design assistant) 18if) is designing the characters, and GyroKnuckle (The Family Circumstances of the Irregular Witch) is supervising the scripts for the series. Takanori Yamaura (Musasino!) is the animation producer of A-Real, and Saya Fukase (Azur Lane), of UWAN Picturesis producing the 3D CG. The creator of the R/0 franchise is also credited as “supervising producer of Amagiri“.

What is Hana Doll* about?

The franchise features the seven-member boy group Anthos* and the three-member boy group Loulou*di. The franchise includes music, drama CDs, and merchandise. The first drama CD with two songs was shipped in June 2019. The “intellectually stimulating” content of the drama CDs includes many investigative elements.

The anime will adapt the “first season” of the drama CD series, titled “Flowering.” The franchise is currently in its third drama CD season.

In the story of the “2.5D idol project,” the “Hana Ningyō Project” (Flower Doll Project) exists to artificially create “perfect idols” by implanting special flower seeds within their bodies. The franchise follows the growth of the young people who dedicate their lives to the project.

A manga of the franchise titled Hana-Doll*~Flowering~ Boys were still in a dream It was launched in Shonen Magazine Edge magazine Kodansha in November 2020.
