The Quintessential Quintuplets‘ new anime special, titled The Quintessential Quintuplets*, will be released in theatres for three weeks starting Sep 20, 2024, ahead of its TV broadcast.

A new visual, opening and ending theme song, and staff details were also revealed along with the new announcement.

The anime’s opening theme song ‘Gotobun no Egao’ and ending theme song ‘Memories’ will be performed by the voice actors of the Nakano quintuplets.

Masato Jinbo will serve as the director at Bibury Animation Studio as well as handle the scripts. Masato Katsumata will be in charge of character designs.

It was previously revealed that the anime special will be overseen directly by the mangaka, Negi Haruba. Haruba not only drafted the original story concept for the anime, but will also be supervising all aspects of its production.
