The Rising of the Shield Hero Gets Fourth Season! | Anime News

Based on Aneko Yusagi’s light novel series, The Rising of the Shield Hero follows a young man named Naofumi Iwatani, who is summoned to another world along with three other men from different universes. Despite becoming a Cardinal Hero destined to fight off monsters known as Waves, he finds himself at a severe disadvantage, having received not an attack-focussed weapon, but instead the Legendary Shield.
The first season of the TV anime aired from January to June 2019 with 25 episodes in total, followed by second and third seasons in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
