During the event MF BOOKS FESTIVAL A new promotional video for the third season of the animated adaptation of the light novels has been published. Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari (The Rising of the Shield Hero), in which we are shown a fragment of the opening, titled “WITHOUT” and performed by MADKID. The premiere is scheduled for next month of october in japan.
In addition to the rest, the illustrator of the light novels, Seira Minami, posted an image commemorating the tenth anniversary of the work.
The Rising of the Shield Hero is a series of light novels written by Aneko Yusagi and illustrated by seira minami which began publishing through the independent service Shoutsuka ni Narouand later the publisher kadokawa began its publication on paper. The work ended with a total of 21 published volumes.
The animated adaptation began to be released in January 2019 and had 25 chapters produced by the Kinema Citrus studios. A second season aired in April 2022 and had 13 episodes. The series is available on Crunchyroll and has its Latin dubbing, which was made in Mexico under the direction of Roberto Gutiérrez in the first season and Roberto Molina Molina in the second.

Synopsis for The Rising of the Shield Hero
The Four Heroes are a group of ordinary men from modern Japan summoned to the kingdom of Melromarc to become its saviors.
Melromarc is a country ravaged by Waves of Calamity that have repeatedly devastated the land and brought disaster to its citizens for centuries.
The four heroes are respectively given a sword, a spear, a bow, and a shield to defeat these waves. Naofumi Iwatani, an otaku, suffers from the curse of being the “Hero of the Shield”.
Armed with only a measly shield, Naofumi is looked down on and ridiculed by his fellow heroes and the people of the kingdom due to his weak offensive capabilities and lackluster personality.
When the heroes have resources and comrades to train with, Naofumi sets out with the only person willing to train alongside him, Malty Melromarc. However, he is soon betrayed by her and is falsely accused of taking advantage of her.
Naofumi is then heavily discriminated against and hated by the people of Melromarc for something he didn’t do. With a raging storm of pain and distrust in his heart, Naofumi begins his journey to strengthen himself and his reputation.
Later, however, the difficulty of being alone arises, so Naofumi buys a dying demi-human slave named Raphtalia to accompany him on his travels.
As the waves close in on the kingdom, Naofumi and Raphtalia must fight for the kingdom’s survival and protect the people of Melromarc from their dire future.
