The romantic comedy Kikaijikake no Marie will be adapted into an anime
The cOfficial account X (formerly Twitter) of Hakusensha’s LaLa magazine announced on Monday that the sleeve Kikaijikake no Marie (Mechanical Marie) by Aki Akimoto will be getting a television anime adaptation. Akimoto also made the announcement of the adaptation on her account X/Twitter with a two-panel sleeve:
For now, the anime does not have a production team or a release date set.
About Kikaijikake no Marie
The story of this romance comedy manga centers on Marie, a former martial arts genius who lands a new job as the personal maid of Aurthur, the heir to a large financial conglomerate. Marie’s new master is cold-hearted and hates people, and she has to pretend to be a robot, or face execution if she’s found out to be human. But Arthur, who is extremely kind to inanimate objects, begins to take a liking to Marie.
Akimoto The manga first launched as a one-shot in LaLa magazine in March 2020. The manga began regular serialization in June 2020, and ended in June 2023.
Hakusensha published the manga’s first compiled volume in December 2020, and the sixth and final volume on September 5.
