The Sword of the Demon Hunter anime suffers a delay in its premiere




The official website of the anime based on the novels by Moto’o Nakanishi, Sword of the Demon Hunter Kijin Gentōshōannounced this Wednesday that the anime committee has postponed its broadcast due to production delays, which were not detailed.

The team had planned to air the anime in July, with a 1-hour special on June 27. After the delay, the team has The anime is scheduled to air in two consecutive parts sometime in 2025.without defining a date or season.

Kazuya Aiura (Assassins Pride) directs the anime in Yokohama Animation Lab. Deko Akao (Arakawa Under the Bridge) supervises the scripts of the series, Taro Ikegami (Lapis Re:LiGHTs) designs the characters and Ryuuichi Takada, Keiichi Hirokawa and Kuniyuki Takahashi from MONACA compose the music. Nakanishi published the first volume of the novel, titled Suihō no Hibi (Days of Nothing), in June 2019 with art by Tamaki. The 14th and final volume of the series was published in November 2023. The synopsis features the following trailer:

Synopsis: In the Edo era, young Jinta and his sister must flee their home, finding refuge in a mountain village. Years later, Jinta has become a skilled swordsman and has sworn to protect the priestess of the town’s shrine. Tasked with killing a demon that threatens the sanctuary, Jinta confronts the malevolent creature in the forest, only to discover a horrifying truth. The demon speaks of events that will occur one hundred and seventy years from now, when Jinta must face the demon in the future. Thus begins an epic fantasy journey spanning multiple eras as Jinta hunts a demon across time and must come to terms with his own dark nature.

It should be remembered that the anime will feature the voices of Taku Yashiro like Jinta, Queen Ueda like Suzune and Saori Hayami Like Shirayuki.
