The third season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime confirmed its premiere date

Through a press release, the animated adaptation for the light novel series “Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) released a new promotional video, in which they confirm that the premiere of its third season will take place next 5th of April.

Also, they confirmed that the next March 31st A special chapter titled “Episode 48.5 – Side Story: Diablo's Diary”.

In the video we can also hear the opening theme, titled “PEACEKEEPER” and performed by STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION. In addition, we see a glimpse of the closing theme, titled “Believer“and interpreted by Rin Kurusu.

Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) is a successful light novel series written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah that its first publication took place in May 2014 through the publisher Micro Magazine.

The series has two seasons that we can enjoy in Crunchyroll and with its Latin dubbing, which was made in Mexico under the direction of Roberto Gutierrez.

Synopsis of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime

Satoru Mikami, 37, is a typical corporate worker who is perfectly content with his monotonous lifestyle in Tokyo, apart from not having gotten a girlfriend even once in his life. In the midst of a chance encounter with his colleague, he falls victim to a random assailant on the street and is stabbed.

However, as he succumbs to his wounds, a peculiar voice echoes in his mind and recites a bunch of orders that the dying man cannot make sense of. When Satoru regains consciousness, he discovers that he has been reincarnated into a slime in an unknown realm. By doing so, he gains new abilities, most notably the power to devour anything and imitate its appearance and abilities.

He then stumbles upon the catastrophic-level sealed monster “Storm Dragon” Veldora, who has been sealed for the past 300 years for razing a city. Understanding his situation, Satoru befriends him and promises to help him destroy the seal.

In exchange, Veldora gives him the name Rimuru Tempest to grant him divine protection. Now, freed from the mundanities of his past life, Rimuru embarks on a new journey with a clear goal in mind. As he becomes accustomed to his new physique, his clingy antics spread throughout the world, gradually altering his destiny.
