Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun Spin-Off Anime Drops New Trailer

The official Twitter account Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun revealed a new trailer for the upcoming spin-off anime, titled After-school Hanako-Kun on Sep 14, 2023.

The trailer previews the ending theme song “Koi! Koi Koi,” which is performed by Akari Kito, Yuri Yoshida, Chitose Morinaga, and Mai Kanazawa as their characters Nene Yashiro and Mokke.

After-school Hanako-Kun, which will run in the form of 10-minute short episodes, is scheduled to air on Oct 12, 2023, and will run over a four-week period.

Crunchyroll will stream the series at 11:00 a.m. PT on the same day as its Japanese release in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS and India.

The anime will be produced by Lerche and directed by Masaki Kitamura, with scripts written by Kazuma Nagatomo. Aya Higami will handle the character designs, and will also serve as chief animation director.

Hiroshi Takaki will compose the music.

Cast from the previous anime will return for the spinoff.

The official Twitter account of Toilet Bound Hanako-kun had previously revealed a new anime project, “Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Anime Project Restart”.

The anime adaptation of Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun, by Lerche, aired in Japan from Jan 9, 2020, to March 26, 2020. The series ran for 12 episodes.

Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun is a Japanese manga series by AidaIro. It has been serialized in Square Enix’s magazine Monthly GFantasy since 2014. It has been collected in eighteen tankōbon volumes as of August 2022. The manga is licensed in North America by Yen Press.
