Wataridori to Katatsumuri manga to be adapted into anime
This Thursday the X/Twitter official account from the manga Wataridori to Katatsumuri (Migratory birds & Snail), a work created by Makoto Takatsu, revealed this Thursday (11) that it will have an anime adaptation for television, although, without defining when its premiere will take place.
The post also announces the return of the manga, which has been on hiatus since 2020. Takatsu also drew an illustration to celebrate the return of the manga and its anime adaptation:
The manga tells the story of Unpei Mochizuki, a young man in his second year of working at a machine parts distributor. After causing trouble for a customer due to a mistake he made, Unpei suddenly thinks of going somewhere far away, where no one knows him.
He stops his car on the side of the road, where he meets Tsugumi Nagisa, a picture book writer who is travelling in her car with her dog. Together they set off on a free-spirited journey, touring Japan, travelling and sleeping in the car.
Takatsu launched the manga in Wani Books’ NewsCrunch manga web magazine in October 2019. Wani Books published the manga’s first compiled volume in August 2020, while the third and “final” volume to date was published in September 2021.
