Yakuza Fiancé anime receives first production details and release date

The official website from the television adaptation to anime Yakuza Fiancé: Raise the Tanin ga Iirevealed on Friday that the anime will premiere in October. The website has also revealed an image, as well as the main crew and cast of the series:

Toshifumi Kawase (Mission-E, Tenjho Tenge) directs the anime in Studio DEEN. Rika Takasugi (Ōoku: The Inner Chambers) supervises and writes the scripts for the series, Itsuko Takeda (Black Clover) designs the characters and Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Dr. Stone, Jujutsu Kaisen) and Masato Suzuki (VTuber Legend: How I Went Viral after Forgetting to Turn Off My Stream) compose the music.

What is Yakuza Fiancé about?

Synopsis: Yoshino grew up as the yakuza princess of Osaka’s Somei crime family. Everyone left her alone because of her sharp eyes and mob ties. But when her grandfather signs a truce with the Tokyo-based Miyama family, she is offered as a fiancée to the grandson of the Miyama leader, Kirishima.

At first, Kirishima appears kind and polite, but when he shows his dark side, he turns out to be more disturbing than any gangster Yoshino has ever met. This engagement will turn into a wild ride for a tough yakuza princess and her twisted yakuza prince.

The story is a creation of Asuke Konishi (The Curse of Haru) who launched the ongoing manga in Afternoon in 2017.
