The official Twitter account for VIZ Media unveiled a teaser trailer announcing that Kazuki Takahashi‘s new one-shot manga for Marvel titled Secret Reverse will release on June 14, 2022. The 112-page manga will be published in both physical and digital formats.
In the afterword to Secret Reverse, Takahashi revealed that he was always a Marvel fanatic and his wish to draw the characters from that Universe has come true with the one-shot.
“I wanna draw a Marvel comic! I’ve had that desire for a while now, but it was at the end of last year that I was asked by Shueisha if I could finally draw one,” he said. “I was allowed to draw any Marvel character I liked, so I naturally chose the ones I liked the most – Iron-Man! And Spider-Man! Those two heroes who truly symbolize Marvel as a whole!”
Takahashi’s Secret Reverse is the first of a series of Shueisha and Marvel collaborative one-shots that will be released every other week on Shueisha’s digital Jump Plus service.
Viz Media describes the story as:
“Spider-Man and Iron Man travel to Japan to battle an evil gaming magnate and his deadly new technology in Secret Reverse”. While it is unlikely that Spider-Man and Iron Man would fight their foes by means of card games, one can only hope.
