Hentai with dubbing: Yes or No? Much of the community is clear about it.

The thing is, Anime Onegai released numerous dubbed hentai series, covering a wide variety of tastes. If I’m honest, I would like to count exactly how many, but I was too lazy. The point is, I really wanted to get the public’s opinion on this.

On a personal note, I found it curious, since hentai is not an anime genre that I consume. However, there are people who do like it, and now they have the opportunity to listen to it in their language. It is precisely the opinion of those people that I am interested in knowing. Dubbed hentai, yes or no?

Thanks to this post from the people at Kami Geek (@Kami_Geek), was that I was able to collect the opinion of a large part of the public, at the time of writing this, the tweet has many responses and more than 17 thousand views, below I show you some of the opinions.

  • NO. And not to call myself a “purist”, but with so much material between classic and current that deserves a decent dubbing, giving it to Hentai scum would be directly insulting, and spitting in the face of many talented people.
  • “I think so, but be careful, it has to be this series” (inserted a gif of Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi)
  • “Depending on hentai. I consider that some should be dubbed (personally those of the vanilla genre and/or those that have good stories and/or plots).”
  • “NO.”
  • “No, it is better that the platforms focus on bringing more dubbing of anime from the 90s, 2000s and 2010s that at the time could not have been dubbed. There is a lot of content with a good fandom that is willing to support, see the case of Katekyo Hitman.”
  • “NO.”
  • “I do NOT feel that it is a waste of resources and talent and the truth is that this sector is a ghost that does not care about the language of that material, as long as it continues to work for them they do not care, they should focus those resources on ‘normal’ series.”
  • “Yeah.”
  • “Yes, why not?.”
  • “I don’t have any problems although, as with traditional anime, I would like them to dub titles with more weight (for example oni chichi or taboo charming mother).”
  • “No thanks, da cringe.”
  • “No, I really don’t wish they could buy the licenses from Hidive/Sentai Filmworks, there are many animes from that distributor that would benefit from a Latin dubbing like Chunnibyo or Clannad.”
  • “No.”
  • “No.”
  • “The truth is, I would like it a lot.”
  • “NO, they can dub animes that were not popular but are good like witchblade, berserk 97, durara or michiko to hatchin.”
  • “No and honestly it is better that more hentais had never been dubbed for streaming and left that dubbed H transmitted by Animax as the only one of that filthy content as a dark curiosity, but at the same time funny about dubbing.”
  • “Personally not, the ones they have are more than enough, I want Anime Onegai to focus more on dubbing Anime from the 90s or some from the 80s that they don’t have yet like Go Nagai.”
  • “NO, and thanks to that we have less crap dubbed in onegai anime.”
  • “No thanks, I’d rather watch retro anime with dubbing than a Chinese monkey moaning all the time.”
  • “NO. I’m already fed up with the fact that they double hentais all the time. Or well, let them do it. But they should lower it a little.”
  • “I don’t mind dubbing anime of this type, I don’t like it, but if you like it, it’s there. But they should give him a rest now. There are many animes that deserve dubbing, like Bunny Girl Senpai, Clannad or Blue exorcist, or redubbing like some of the Sentai licenses.”
  • “Not really, but if it is to obtain funding to bring real titles, I see it as a necessary evil.”
  • “Eh No, it’s better that they double ecchi Animes instead of an H. I don’t know how many H Animes from AnimeFesta were dubbed, because I’m sure there are more to go until April or May, I say.”
  • “Seeing how profitable it is for Anime Onegai, and that it gives income to the platform… Well. I don’t deny that directors seek to work with respect for their colleagues, but I can’t help but think about how uncomfortable it is for some. Especially for the one who gave voice to Ayane.”
  • “Until it thunders.”
  • “Personally, not so much, I prefer it to be a dubbing every 6 months, one, just one, the excitement has already passed… the quality is good But it takes care of dubs like Higurashi from 2006, Fate Zero… K-On maybe high Scholl xdd AO should put more effort into that type of dubbing… Personally.”
  • “I prefer that they bring ecchi and normal anime and less H.”
  • “I’m not against H animes being dubbed, but god, give them a break and don’t get stuck in it.”
  • “Nope, they better keep bringing more dubs of old animes (1 H dub very occasionally BUT NOT 3 OR 4 EVERY MONTH)”

As you can see, there are all kinds of opinions, but there is a clear winner; with which I personally completely agree. What do you think? Leave your opinions in the comments and on our social networks.
