‘SPY X FAMILY CODE: White’ Anime Film Reveals North American Theatrical Release Date

Crunchyroll along with Sony Pictures announced on Feb 7, 2024, that ‘SPY x FAMILY CODE: White’ anime film is getting its much awaited North American theatrical release.

The film will be screened from April 19, 2024. It will be available in both Japanese dub with English subtitles and English dub.

SPY x FAMILY CODE: White anime film will release in Japan on Dec 22, 2023.

As previously revealed, in the 13 days of its screening upto Jan 3, 2023, the film attracted an impressive audience of 2,599,850 people, with its box office revenue reaching a total of 3.4 billion yen (about US$23.62 million).

As of its 18th day of screening on Jan 8, 2024, the film has sold 3.29 million tickets, and earned total of 4.41 billion yen (about US$30.6 million).

As of Feb 6, 2024, it has garnered 5,698,463,520 yen (about US$38.35 million).

The movie is an anime original, with Ichiro Okouchi working on the script.

Takashi Katagiri serves as the director of the movie, with Kazuhiro Furuhashi supervising the animation.

Spy x Family season 2 started airing on Oct 7, 2023.

Spy x Family season 1 cour 1, produced by Wit Studio and CloverWorks, premiered on TV Tokyo and its affiliate stations in April 2022, and was licensed by Muse Communication in Asia and Crunchyroll worldwide.

Cour 2 of the anime started airing in Oct 1, 2022.

Spy × Family is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo. The series has been serialized biweekly on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ application and website since March 2019, with the chapters collected in eleven tankobon volumes as of April 2023. It was licensed in North America by Viz Media.

As of March 2023, Spy × Family had over 30 million copies in circulation, making it one of the best-selling manga series.
