Today Crunchyroll has announced the winners of the 2023 Anime Awards. The awards were held for the first time in a live global broadcast directly from Tokyo, Japan. During the event, the winners were announced by international personalities from the world of entertainment and sports.

The Crunchyroll Anime Awards is the premier awards event celebrating the best and coolest in anime. This year, 18 million fans in 200 countries and territories voted for their favorites to be placed first. Among the countries that demonstrated the greatest participation were: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Mexico, and the United States.
For the first time in its not-so-long run, the Crunchyroll Anime Awards were broadcast live directly from Tokyo, Japan. During the event, the winners were announced by international personalities from the world of entertainment and sports, which included well-known filmmakers such as Justin Lin and Robert RodrÃguez, some well-known American actors such as Finn Wolfhard, Hunter Schafer and Jacob Bertrand; as well as sports superstars like WWE’s Juju Smith-Schuster, Aidan Hutchinson and Zelina Vega; streaming stars Valkyrae and Sykkuno; Japanese singer-songwriter and actress Haruka Kaki, Japanese comedian Kendo Kobayashi, Roland, and Japanese actress Sawa Suzuki.
The Anime Awards were hosted by voice actress Sally Amaki and popular animator Jon Kabira.
