HBO Max includes anime in its December premieres

December 2, 2021

The battle for who has more and better anime starts to get more and more violent and now it seems that a new contender will enter the battle: it’s about nothing more and nothing more than: HBO Max. Through your account twitter official, it was announced that in the premieres of this month of December they will include the following anime content:

  • Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon
  • Dragonballz the battle of the gods
  • Doraemon (movies)
  • Detective Conan (movies)

Without including more details in the tweet, like the premiere date, HBO Max enters the battle with everything to attract anime fans and try to steal some attention (and why not subscribers) to the three that currently dominate the industry in Latin America, which as we know are: Crunchyroll, Funimation and Netflix.

Let’s remember that HBO Max Latin America has very little anime content as are the movies of My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising, Promare and Your Name, in addition to just one series, which is the recent Blade Runner: Black Lotus; whereby, there is no anime section within the platform. Everything indicates that they seek to expand content of this type, as is the case with this same service in the US, where the subscription includes Crunchyroll.

For now, HBO Max has already launched its first right in this battle; The only thing left to do is hope, what else can you offer us and how? their opponents will answer. This is getting very interesting and, Guess who wins out of this clash of powers? Of course we, those of us who love anime.
