Ridice Studio’s official Twitter handle released a statement on Jan 9, 2023, announcing that Solo Leveling will be getting a new side story to honor the legacy of the illustrator DUBU.

The side story will be worked on by a team of artist who had previously worked with DUBU, dedicating the work in his honor.

The author was a respected person by everyone he worked with, and he left behind many outstanding pupils in the world while running a company and a studio.
