TMSEntertainment confirmed the production of an anime series titled Lupine Zerowill have its premiere in December this year and will consist of a prequel to Lupine III in which they will tell us the stories of the famous thief in his youth. The anime will combine stories from the original manga with new ones, set in the 1960s.

- Daisuke Sako is in charge of directing the anime in Telecom Animation Film (TMS subsidiary).
- ichiro okouchi (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Sk8 the Infinity, Valvrave the Liberator) is in charge of writing and supervising scripts.
- asami taguchi (Lupine III Italian Game, Lupine III: Part IV) is in charge of character design.
- Yoshihide Otomo (INU-OH, Otona no Ikkyū-san) is in charge of musical composition.
As additional information, the anime will have its world premiere at the event. Anime NYC from November 18 to 20. Other production data will be revealed soon.
