Universal Studios Japan To Screen Special Jujutsu Kaisen Original 4D Episode

The official website for Universal Studios Japan unveiled their special Jujutsu Kaisen attractions for the amusement park situated in Osaka on July 25, 2022. The attractions will feature screening of a special 4D episode with anime original story, and a roller coaster ride featuring the first OP of Jujutsu Kaisen anime, Kaikai Kitan.

The 20 minute original story is titled “Jujutsu Kaisen the Real 4-D,” and will run from Sep 16, 2022 to July 2, 2023.

The viewers will be getting a complete 4D cinema experience with 3D characters and special effects that are unbelievably realistic like vibrations, water splashes, eerie shapes of the curses and the outpouring of the Jujutsu sorcerers’ powers.

The plot of Jujutsu Kaisen original animation is described as follows:

A branch school of a college of witchcraft and sorcery is to be opened here in Osaka.

As a recruit for this new school, you were invited to the groundbreaking ceremony for the school building.

According to Kuroishi, the man who claims to be the president of the Osaka branch school, a new branch school will be established to train conjurers in order to save people from the ever-increasing number of curses that have been inflicted on them in recent years.

But even as the ceremony begins with great pomp and circumstance, a terrible plot is revealed…!

Jujutsu Kaisen x Hollywood Dream The Ride ~ Kaikai Kitan ~ aka the Jujutsu Kaisen roller coaster attraction will feature the first opening theme of Jujutsu Kaisen season 1, Kaikai Kitan by Eve, playing out of an inbuilt speakers in the seat.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 2018, with its chapters collected and published in nineteen tankōbon volumes as of April 2022.

The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers in order to kill a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a sequel to Akutami’s Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, serialized in Shueisha’s Jump GIGA from April to July 2017, later collected in a tankōbon volume, retroactively titled as Jujutsu Kaisen 0, in December 2018.

Jujutsu Kaisen is licensed for English-language release in North America by Viz Media, who has been publishing the manga in print since December 2019. Shueisha publishes the series in English on the Manga Plus online platform.

A 24-episode anime television series adaptation by MAPPA aired on MBS from October 2020 to March 2021. The anime is licensed by Crunchyroll for streaming outside of Asia, who premiered an English dub in November 2020. The original soundtrack of the anime was released in April 2021. A second season is set to premiere in 2023.

As of April 2022, the Jujutsu Kaisen manga had over 65 million copies in circulation, including related novels, digital versions and Jujutsu Kaisen 0, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time.
